About

Nonprofit R+D helps smaller nonprofits fully utilize technology so they can have a greater impact on the world.

We accomplish this by helping these nonprofits grow their online presence through training, coaching, best practices and interactive support and services.

Nonprofit R+D is the embodiment of an idea Rich and Stephanie have discussed over the past 5 years. As they worked with many small- and medium-sized nonprofit organizations, they kept finding a common problem. Most nonprofits were very eager to “get online” and fully utilize technology and the internet but did not know where to start and felt they did not have the skills or time needed to do this work on their own.

Simultaneously, nonprofit leaders frequently mentioned that their organizations could not afford the high consulting fees that most firms were charging. Although they wanted to move forward, they were stuck.

Nonprofit R+D breaks the logjam. We help your organization leverage technology to raise more money, increase your audience, and nurture your current supporters in an efficient and affordable way. We accomplish this by providing a combination of online training, which is video-, audio-, and text-based, as well as hosting a community of experts and peers that are all passionate about utilizing technology to help smaller nonprofits be more effective.

Our Mission: To help you focus on YOUR mission rather than worrying about technology.

Our definition of success is simple – we teach you how to use technology to effectively further your organization’s mission and then you do it. Effectively, we want to work ourselves out of a job! Think of it as the “teach a man to fish” model applied to technology use by nonprofit organizations.
